Hello from beyond the grave...

Oh wait! I'm not dead! I think I'll go for a walk! I feel happpy! (Name that movie) Part of me is very surprised at this fact (probably the part of me that watches too much House) and I can't explain how happy I was that I was able to sleep through an entire night last night (well, apart from about a half hour when I woke up from a scary dream and had to lull myself back to sleep - although, that dream did give me some pretty cool ideas for a storybook..)

During my week 'off', I did quite a bit of stumbling, and I held onto a few sites that I felt were pretty awesome - either because they made me happy or because they actually were awesome. I will let you be the judge of which is which.

Lack of posting explained

Blergh. Sorry for the lack of updates these past few days. I caught the flu and it's been a nasty one. I won't go into detail - for your sake. Hopefully, I will be back up and running soon.

Oh, and if anyone would like to find me some warm oatmeal with brown sugar, I'd be forever grateful! And juice!!

I got my flippy-floppies

Well, I just called Fisher-Price since I hadn't heard from them - not a good sign. And, as I suspected, the position was given to someone else. Oh well. It would've been awesome, but there will be other jobs out there (hopefully). In the meantime, something to cheer me up! Dan sent me this last night, and for some reason it really cracks me up. Disclaimer: Language may not be appropriate for some people. Cracks me up though.

Fixed computer! :)

Yay! My computer is fixed! :) Hurrah! They replaced my logic board, so now it works again. Finally. Expect more posts soon. Pretty tired right now.

Extinction.....yeah.

So. This is pretty cool. However - this particular phrase scares me:

Terrifying.

In other news, here's an ad GE did during the Superbowl. I find it interesting because I came up with a very similar idea first semester, junior year in my advertising class. Spies?

Interview at Fisher-Price!

So, the interview with Fisher-Price is over and done. Whew! I think it went pretty well - hard to say though. It's in Chelsea, which would be an awesome place to work - afterwords I could go shopping and spend all the money I made that day!! (Just kidding) But seriously, it would be nice to be close to all sorts of good stores. :)

After the interview I treated myself to breakfast at Cosi, which is right across the street. It wasn't quite a splurge, but still. I ordered the Garden Pesto Omelette Croissant - eggs, roasted red peppers, spinach, tomato, Romano cheese and pesto spread on a flaky Cosi croissant - which was pretty delicious. The 'egg' part seemed a bit more like cheese to me, but I wasn't complaining! Yum.

Speaking of food, I think I'm going to run and get some late lunch! Thanks for all the good luck wishes! Here's hoping! *fingers crossed*

Migraine's suck..

Last night I slept from 8pm until 10am. Why? I had a migraine. All day I'd had this nagging headache - nothing too horrible. But then, it just kept getting worse, and I started feeling queasy. At around 8pm, I finally had to take an Imitrex and go to sleep. Sometimes I wonder though if Imitrex helps at all....in fact, an hour after I'd taken it, I felt worse because of the extra factor it added: neck weirdness. It's hard to explain what it feels like, but for me it's this tingling that is not pleasant at all and makes me a little queasier, if that's possible. Finally I fell asleep and woke up at 10 this morning - 14 hours later. Thankfully, I feel better.

In other news, I have an interview at Fisher-Price tomorrow morning! I've spent all weekend preparing my portfolio and I already have my outfit picked out. :) Starting to get a little nervous though...here's hoping! :)
