This whole sleep pattern I've got going on is really getting on my nerves. I can't sleep straight through the night anymore...last night I woke up at 4am, 6am and 8:10am. I have to get up at 8:30, so...after that last wake up..I did not sleep well from there on out. Grr...this has been going on weeks. I haven't had the best sleep in months, but it's getting worse. :( Oh well.
In other news, my dad and Donna are on their way up here to help me move and to take me home. :) My room is really depressing and crowded. It's hard to pack when you live in a tiny box. I'm ready to go home, even though I'm kinda nervous....

Life doesn't always have to be planned out.
That's so hard for me to say...I wish that I could live like that. I wish I wasn't afraid of everything. It's good I have friends who remind me of the good things about change, and that I'm young. I have plenty of time for change. I don't have to do any one thing forever. In fact, I probably won't. I will leave Pratt and I don't have to be an advertiser...I don't have to stay in New York...in fact, I could bloody go to Ireland, or London, or Arizona, or or or any number of places and work if I wanted to (if I had the money to get there of course).
Life doesn't always work the way of a Nora Roberts' book - but that doesn't mean I can't take some aspects of the characters and their decisions into my own life. Maybe I'd be better and learn more about myself if I went somewhere I knew no one and just made my way there. Forced myself out of my box. Even in New York I've just created a new box for myself. I need to really find who I am; who I want to be. What makes me happy - on my own.

"It takes some work to make it work
It takes some good to make it hurt
It takes some bad for satisfaction..
...
And it takes no time to fall in love
But it takes you years to know what love is
And it takes some fears to make you trust
It takes some tears to make it rust
It takes the dust to have it polished..
...
It takes some silence to make sound
And it takes a loss before you found it
And it takes a road to go nowhere
It takes a toll to make you care
It takes a hole to make a mountain"
It takes some good to make it hurt
It takes some bad for satisfaction..

New Jewelry and Shoes!
Yay. So this weekend Sarah and I have been total girls. At least Saturday we were. We watched Clueless while painting our nails....then went shopping. Haha. I bought some very cool things including a new colorful dress and these shoes:
Then today, we finally went to the Brooklyn Flea, which I'd been meaning to check out for weeks. It was pretty overwhelming. But I did come away with these two beauties:
Super excited about these necklaces. Only $10 each! Now I'm not allowed to eat for a while to pay for this weekend...haha.

I've had a pretty good weekend. :) I love three day weekends. Having two Saturdays rocks! It's been pretty relaxing, with some fun times with friends. Unfortunately the weather was a bit uncooperative. It was still fun though.
I might be going out to see Dan with Harry and Alex and maybe Sarah too to see the Dark Night. It'd be nice to get out of the city and to see Dan. It's been different since he's been gone. Alex and I have been spending a lot more time together. It's been cool getting to know him better on a one on one basis. I realized we'd never really done things together without a group. It's always interesting to talk to people one on one - you learn more about them as a person. People tend to have two personalities: one with other people, and the person they are by themselves. It's interesting that he seems to be pretty much the same person both places. :)
It has been a Beatles kind of weekend. Last night Alex and I watched 'Across the Universe' and then today at 67 Burger, they played a few Beatles songs and I'm now watching 'The Jungle Book'. It's the part with the vultures. They were originally going to be voiced by the Beatles, and even though they didn't end up doing it, they still are an homage to them. I love this movie.
